Is it normal to quote without naming the source like WT does?

i am noticing here and there that the wt literature will say things like "one bible dictionary says ..." or "one scholar says ..." and then proceed with a quotation.

my immediate reaction is to ask myself why they didn't provide the specific source of the quote - author, publication, page #, etc.

so i am wondering, do other magazines do this?

Could Teaching Critical Thinking Abilities, End Cult Mind-Conrol Forever?

in my mind, every child that undergoes an education system, whether it be a within the family, a basic pre-school kindergarten type structure, within a monitored school curriculum environment itself, or, as part of a further education programme, the emphasis should be on teaching people how to think critically, and for the common good of all.. if this was indeed the case, probably very few would succumb to mind-control techniques later on in life.

cults would struggle to dupe and recruit new members.

the cult leaders themselves, would derive little benefit from their evil mind games.

So which makes more sense? Sex or no sex in the "new system"?

obviously jah wouldn't allow for millions of pregnancies in the new system for fear of the same problem today of overpopulation.

so would he throw in sex but not allow for the women to become pregnant?

or would there be just no sex at all?

If ANGELS were tempted by the senuous curves and ravishing beauty of the female form how can a human be expected to resist forever?!?

i just got off the phone with an older jw family member who was reviewing options for golden years living.

I had one single sister tell me 'if this system goes another 5 years and I dont have a mate I don't think I can make it!'

That was 10 yrs ago. Its a shame people are wasting thier lives and their happiness on the BS cult. I know that 'worldly men' were interested in this sister but alas she was trying to be faithful to Jehovah Er the Slave.

imagine if people simply stopped going to the meetings.

if they stopped showing up to assemblies, conventions, internationl conventions, etc.. no protest, violence, vulgar language, etc.. the elderly, teens, youths, babies, everyone.. we simply let our feelings known by not showing up, not being present, not speaking, by saying nothing.. no explanation to the elders, the c.o's, d.o's, the bethel heavies, or the gb.. we abstain to the higher religious authorities, only speaking amongst ourselves.. no donations, contribuations, etc.. imagine what would happen!.
